(Sanctification and Justification)

Redemption is a deep yet wonderful subject. Although God's grace is available to all people, it is not irresistible. On the other hand, attempting to help God by our own works can make His work ineffective. We need to seek a safe course between the ditch of abandoning all restraints and that of focusing on extra-Scriptural regulations. Initial sanctification should lead to a progressive experience through which the Christian increases in holiness.

How is our past record cleared? We have sinned, and we need a remedy. Thanks to God, the ransom has been paid. God was willing to invest what it took for our justification—the death of His own Son. Will we accept His provisions and not only rejoice in the forgiveness extended to us, but also live a righteous life in Christ Jesus?
