Condition

Buy-Back Rate

Requirements

Class A

We pay 35% of New Price for Textbooks
We pay 25% of New Price for Other Rod & Staff Books
  • Must be a current edition (see chart)
  • Cover must be very close to new condition
  • No dog-eared pages
  • No pencil or ink marks
  • Pages must be crisp
  • Spine must not be broken

Class B

We pay 25% of New Price for Rod & Staff Textbooks
We pay 15% of New Price for other Rod & Staff Books
  • Must be a current edition (see chart)
  • Cover can show a little wear but no ink or pencil marks
  • Dog-ears or wrinkled pages must be very limited
  • No writing in book
  • Pages must not show abuse, reasonably crisp.
  • Spine must not be broken
  • No loose pages or torn pages

Class C

We pay 15% of New Price for Rod & Staff Textbooks
We pay 5% of new Price for Other Rod & Staff books
  • Must be a current edition (see chart)
  • Covers can show some wear, but not abuse or hard use
  • Pages can show some use, a few limited tears can be accepted if repaired
  • No loose pages, or ragged
  • Very limited writing or markings in book
  • Spine must not be broken

We plan to grade fairly hard. We want the books we sell to be in a condition we are not ashamed to offer.

These prices are for books delivered to our Receiving Warehouse (see Contact Us for address) either by carrier or in person. If we decide we cannot buy back the book, it will be discarded or returned at your expense.

When you ship your books to us, please include a note with your address and phone number. Books should be packed well, but not in newspaper (which can leave marks on the books), as we will grade their condition upon arrival, and send you a check for the total.
